Russell Gewirtz is set to pen The King of Oil, an adaptation of the biopic by Daniel Ammann. BB Film Productions picked up the rights to the book a few months ago with Daniel Turcan and Uri Singer attached to produce.

Davis joins Hamm and Lois Davis, with whom she starred in the original play’s premiere in Los Angeles, in the sci-fi dramedy about holographic relatives and failing memory.

Centers on an aging widow who implements a system that allows her to spend time with holographic versions of her deceased loved ones.
