The busy WWE wrestler continues his foray into acting with a key role in Paramount and Hasbro Pictures’ Transformers prequel, starring Hailee Steinfeld, which will now be released December 21, 2018.

Michael Bay is finally handing the franchise reins to another filmmaker, though he’ll still produce alongside Steven Spielberg and Lorenzo Di Bonaventura.

Kubo lives a quiet, normal life in a small shoreside village until a spirit from the past turns his life upside down by re-igniting an age-old vendetta. This causes all sorts of havoc as gods and monsters chase Kubo who, in order to survive, must locate a magical suit of armor once worn by his late father, a legendary Samurai warrior.

Storyline is being kept underwraps but will exist in the Transformer’s universe.

Logline: A ragtag society of oddballs living under the city of Cheesebridge are terrorized by an exterminator hell bent on destroying them to gain access to the exclusive Cheesebridge society.
