Premium cable network Showtime is continuing to build its half hour slate as they put into development Fatwa starring Aasif Mandvi. The project hails from writer-producer Dave Holstein who previously worked with Mandvi on the HBO series The Brink.

Tony Award-winning actress Renee Elise Goldsberry has booked the titular role in the upcoming The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. The Hamilton star will join Oprah Winfrey and Rose Byrne for the movie at HBO Films.
