HBO is moving forward with a second season of its acclaimed comedy series Barry, and the cable network has also given the go-ahead for a sixth season of Silicon Valley.
T.J. Miller’s Erlich Bachman is gone, but Thomas Middleditch and the rest of the gang still seem to be facing an uphill battle to turn Pied Piper into a profitable company.
Fall television has arrived! While we’re all excited to see what new shows networks have made for us, it’s also time to look back at the past year and the shows that are competing for the golden statues at this year’s Emmy Awards.
Season 4, Episode 10 – After the debacle at Hooli-con, Richard and the gang realize their code had some unintended effects and need to find a new solution for their data storage before anyone else finds out it was them. Luckily, out in Tibet, Erlich lets out a piece of information to Gavin Belson that might just help them out of their situation.
Season 4, Episode 9 – After Erlich makes his less than grand departure to seek guidance and wisdom from a surprising friend, the guys set out to enact their stealth operation at Hooli-Con and find themselves again, at the mercy of Richard’s pettiness. This time though, Jared has had enough and let’s that be known.
Season 4, Episode 8 – Richard finds that his last business deal is costing the Pied Piper everything they have. Luckily, Erlich’s has a new partner (played by Haley Joel Osment) who might be the savior they’ve been looking for to get the company to its next level.
Season 4, Episode 7 – Richard faces the first obstacle of Pied Piper’s new Gavin-less company when he attracts the ire of a seasoned patent troll. Meanwhile back at the house, the Dinesh and Gilfoyle deal with Jian Yang’s “smart refrigerator” while Jared looks for business help from an unlikely person.
Season 4, Episode 6 – With Gavin now out of the picture again, Richard gathers the troops to find other means of funding and unfortunately finds the one possible option available brings with it dirt from Erlich’s past. Meanwhile, Dinesh and Gilfoyle start an all out war after their platform test goes wrong.
HBO recently renewed Silicon Valley for a fifth season, but Miller won’t be coming back with the rest of the gang. We’ll certainly be said to see him go, but the rest of that ensemble cast is so funny, they should have no problem picking up the slack.
Season 4, Episode 5 – Richard finds himself in hot water with Gavin after insulting one of Gavin’s more specific staff members. Meanwhile, Dinesh struggles with finding a way to get out of his relationship with Mia without her ruining his life.
Season 4, Episode 4 – Richard possibly makes a deal with the silicon devil by entering a business partnership with none other than Gavin Belson. Meanwhile, Erlich tries to work out how to get out of his partnership in See Food with Jian Yang.
Season 4, Episode 3 – Richard finds unlikely helper in his quest to creating a new and open internet. Meanwhile, Erlich works on turning Jian Yang’s Octopus recipe app into something that people will actually want to buy.
Season 4, Episode 2 – Much to Richard’s annoyance, Dinesh quickly adjusts to the power of his new role as CEO of Piperchat and kicks him out of the platform. Unfortunately for Dinesh, a flaw in his terms of service agreement will have serious repercussions for him and the team. Meanwhile at Hooli, Gavin continues his cold war with the oblivious Jack Barker.
Season 4, Episode 1 – Silicon Valley returns with the team ready to get to work on a “new Pied Piper” utilizing Dinesh’s video chat, but Richard can’t let go of his algorithm or control leading to a big shift in the company hierarchy.
Ahead of their awards ceremony on Friday, January 27, the ACE Eddie Awards have announce this years nominations. Picks were chosen by members of the American Cinema Editors and continue the reigning favorites of awards season with La La Land, Moonlight, and Manchester by the Sea all landing noms.
Last night, the 2016 Critics’ Choice Awards handed out the top prizes to various categories in film and television, further heating up the awards race. Damien Chazelle’s musical breakout La La Land took top honors for film, while Game of Thrones and Silicon Valley nabbed the highest awards in the television race.

The Television Critics Association held their 32nd awards show this weekend, where The People V. OJ Simpson continued their awards success. They entered the event tied with Mr. Robot for the most nominations.
This year’s nominations included the usual appearances from House Of Cards, Game Of Thrones, and Modern Family as well as attention for newcomers like Mr. Robot, The Night Manager, and Master Of None.
