Sony Pictures is in talks with Roland Emmerich to direct their Dark Matter adaptation. The best-selling sci-fi thriller was published by Crown back in July but Sony and Matt Tolmach Productions have been working on the adaptation since 2014 when they made a pre-emptive $1.25 million deal for the book.
