Robert Schwentke has signed on as director on the adaptation of the comic by Peter Lenkov, R.I.P.D (Rest in Peace Department). Also, Ryan Reynolds had exited the project due to scheduling issues, but has returned, now that the project has moved to a 2011 start date.
Logline: A murdered cop is recruited to work in the Rest in Peace Department, a ghost-busting police force (itself comprised of ghosts) that battles spirits unready to depart this world.
