Fall television has arrived! While we’re all excited to see what new shows networks have made for us, it’s also time to look back at the past year and the shows that are competing for the golden statues at this year’s Emmy Awards.

With HBO’s Game of Thrones and Netflix’s GLOW out of the running, we’ve been discussing the possible nominees, so here are our picks.

The Television Critics Association announced their nominations for the 2017 awards, giving Hulu its very first nomination for the critically acclaimed series The Handmaid’s Tale.

The newly minted Emmy-winning Netflix comedy Master of None has landed Academy Award-nominated actress Angela Bassett for season two. Bassett, along with series co-creator, Aziz Ansari, dreamed up an ideal role for her to test her comedy skills.

Jimmy Kimmel hosted the 68th Primtime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday in a swiftly-paced event that saw plenty of perennial favorites take home statues, including Game of Thrones and Veep, as well as some first-time wins for stars Kate McKinnon, Rami Malek, and Tatiana Maslany. The Television Critics Association held their 32nd awards show this weekend, where The People V. OJ Simpson continued their awards success. They entered the event tied with Mr. Robot for the most nominations.

This year’s nominations included the usual appearances from House Of Cards, Game Of Thrones, and Modern Family as well as attention for newcomers like Mr. Robot, The Night Manager, and Master Of None.

The winners of the entertainment and children’s programming Peabody Awards were announced on Friday, and Netflix proved yet again that it has become a force to be reckoned with.

GLAAD has announced its full list of nominees for the 27th Annual GLAAD Media Awards ahead of its events in Los Angeles on April 2nd and New York City on May 14th, 2016.
