The long-in-development Clue remake from Hasbro has landed at 20th Century Fox. The story is expected to move out of the parlor and make it a game of “worldwide mystery” with action-adventure elements.

Academy Award winner Akiva Goldsman will oversee a team of writers that will build this universe that will include classic Hasbro toy brands G.I. Joe, Micronauts, Visionaries, M.A.S.K. and ROM.

Letterman is set to direct the highly-anticipated adaptation of the iconic role-playing game from Warner Bros., Vertigo and Hasbro.

Based on the iconic game, a warrior and his band of mystical creatures – including a half-dragon and a cunning gnome – embark on a dangerous journey to find a mythical treasure.
