INSATIABLE

After receiving a pass from The CW, drama pilot Insatiable has been given new life at Netflix with a series order. The project stars Disney Channel alum Debby Ryan and Dallas Roberts.

With last year’s pilots Frequency and No Tomorrow both unlikely to see renewals, The CW is looking for a big hit that isn’t attached to the DC universe and can add to the critical clout they’ve gained with Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Jane the Virgin. Chris Messina is teaming up with Adam Adams to star in Marti Noxon’s Sharp Objects, based on the Gillian Flynn novel, and Peters Sarsgaard has board the Jeff Daniels drama The Looming Tower on Hulu.

Steven Soderbergh’s The Girlfriend Experience adds to its lineup, CW’s Valor rounds out its lead roles, and Jane Lynch is headed to NBC.

Jessica Jones actor Erin Moriarty has landed a spot in an untitled thriller on Fox opposite Archie Panjabi and Rita Wilson, while Jane the Virgin‘s Sofia Pernas is joining NBC’s military drama For God and Country.

True Blood alum Stephen Moyer is set to star in Fox’s Marvel pilot, and Diana Rigg is joining PBS’s Victoria to play a confidante of the infamous queen.

Lauren Gussis has teamed up with Ryan Seacrest Productions, Storied Media Group, CBS TV Studios for insatiable, a procedural drama in the works at The CW. This is Gussis’s third sale after setting up projects at CBS and TNT.
