DRAGGED ACROSS CONCRETE

The director of “Bone Tomahawk” and master of the slow build genre flick puts Vaughn into one of the most brutal prison movies imaginable, then uses him again for his third film “Dragged Across Concrete.”

CAA orchestrated a blockbuster $20 million deal for Bubbles, which led to even more people talking about Netflix. The streaming service has been on the tips of tongues all over Cannes, where Netflix has drawn criticism from some corners because its competition titles Okja and The Meyerowitz Stories won’t debut in French theaters.

Academy Award-nominated Hacksaw Ridge director Mel Gibson is re-teaming with the film’s co-star Vince Vaughn for the upcoming gritty thriller Dragged Across Concrete, written and directed by S. Craig Zahler. But this time, Gibson will join Vaughn in front of the camera.

Two policemen, one an old-timer, the other his volatile younger partner, find themselves suspended when a video of their strong-arm tactics become the media’s cause du jour. Low on cash and with no other options, these two embittered soldiers descend into the criminal underworld to gain their just due.
