Musician Pharrell Williams has signed on to produce the upcoming NASA drama Hidden Figures starring Taraji P. Henson as Katherine Johnson, who was part of a team of African American women who helped launch astronaut John Glen into orbit.

Jim Parsons has landed a role in Fox 2000’s Hidden Figures starring Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, and Janelle Monae. The film is based on the true story of the African American women who helped the U.S. win the space race.

Kevin Costner has been tapped to play the head of the space program in Fox 2000’s Hidden Figures. The Academy Award-winning actor will join his Black or White co-star Octavia Spencer and Taraji P. Henson.

Taraji P. Henson has signed on to play Katherine Johnson, a real-life mathematics genius, in Hidden Figures from Fox 2000. The project will be helmed by St. Vincent director Ted Melfi.

Centers on Katherine Johnson’s involvement in the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit. Based on the book Hidden Figures: The Story Of The African-American Women Who Helped Win The Space Race by Margot Lee Shetterly.
