Director of Development

Lead and support all phases of animated series development, from concept through pilot production. Provide thoughtful, constructive feedback on pitches, scripts, animatics, storyboards, casting, music, and mixes.

Leading, mentoring, and developing the Development team, providing leadership, inspiration, and accountability to ensure strategic alignment and support individual team members in achieving their annual revenue goals.

Generate clear and cogent verbal and written feedback on story materials related to various series and features through all phases of development and production.

Source and assess screenplays, books, articles, life rights, concepts, sizzles and short form content – as well as other forms of intellectual property – in an effort to help build out and sustain a robust Film pipeline.

Create, craft, pitch, and sell unscripted formats, docusoaps, game shows and more. Originate new ideas and talent and manage deck writing and design.

Generate weekly and multi-weekly reports informing executives of source material in the marketplace and apprising various executives specifically of titles selected to match their development needs.

The Coordinator will provide administrative support to the President & Director of Development, as well as contribute to reading, checking avails, updating grids, and other duties.

The ideal candidate will be a great writer, have established network relationships, be proficient in editing casting reels, have great ideas and a real passion for storytelling and unscripted programming.

This position works in tandem with the offices of the President of Television and the SVP of Television. Duties include scheduling, phones, reading submissions, and taking notes on calls.

Implement the creative strategy as defined by the senior leadership team to increase viewership across multiple platforms through the development/production of unique, compelling, and brand-appropriate non-scripted content.
