TV’s number one comedy, The Big Bang Theory, is going to be around for a while. The comedy’s home, CBS, is developing a spinoff from the series, centered around a teenage Sheldon Cooper, played by Jim Parsons in the original show.

The series is the eighth freshmen series to get an additional episode order, proving that the network has faith in the Muppet brand. Looks like Kermit and crew are here to stay.

A Muppets series set behind the scenes of a late-night talk show, in a mockumentary format. The new ABC series will premiere in September and is co-created by The Big Bang Theory co-creator Bill Prady.
