Season 1, Episodes 1-10 – Amazon’s new thriller series, Absentia, is more interesting as a human drama than a crime thriller, but suffers from slow pacing, and an uninspired supporting cast.
Season 1, Episode 8 – Bellevue is a by-the-numbers crime drama that fails to engage, and will likely fade into obscurity.
Season 1, Episodes 4-7 – Netflix’s Godless fails the women of La Belle, and is ultimately disappointing despite its talented cast and beautiful cinematography.
Season 1, Episodes 1-3 – Despite its misleading trailer and languid pace, Netflix’s new limited series, Godless, is an intriguing Western for the modern viewer.
The strongest takeaway from Amazon’s latest pilots is seeing them continue what they started with “Fleabag” and “Catastrophe” as they continue to focus on female-led comedies.
Season 2, Episodes 1-6 – In it’s second season, One-Mississippi explores how to rebuild after loss, and deftly balances laugh out loud comedy with pointed social commentary.
Season 1, Episodes 7-9 – In the final episodes of Amazon’s The Last Tycoon, Rose and Celia demonstrate growth as tensions heighten between Monroe and Kathleen.
Season 1, Episodes 4-6 – The middle episodes of The Last Tycoon are uneven, but contain a number of affecting small moments that make the show work despite its flaws.
Season 1, Episodes 1-3 – The endlessly charming Matt Bomer stars in Amazon’s glossy, but often shallow, adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Last Tycoon.
Season 1, Episodes 7-10 – As the first season of Gypsycomes to an end it’s difficult to unravel all of Jean’s lies and manipulations or to undertand her true motivations.
Season 1, Episodes 4-6 – As Gypsy moves into its second act, Jean’s life begins to fracture more deeply between her Jean-self, and the Diane persona she’s created.
Season 1, Episodes 1-3 – Netflix’s new psychological thriller Gypsy stars Naomi Watts as a therapist who involves herself in the personal lives of her clients while struggling to maintain her own sense of self.
Season 1, Episodes 9-13 – In its first season’s final episodes Girlboss introduces Sophia’s estranged mother, but fails to humanize it’s lead character.
Season 1, Episodes 5-8 – Girlboss finds fun in mid-aughts music and nostalgia, but Sophia’s narcissism takes up too much space, leaving the other characters feeling flat.
Season 1, Episodes 1-4 – Netflix’s new original series, Girlboss is occasionally fun, but relies too heavily on old tropes, and loses itself in the self-absorption of its main character.
Season 1, Episode 10 – In the aptly titled season finale, “Chaos,” The-Good-Fight brings back old characters, Maia finds her voice, and Chicago faces a citywide blackout.
Season 1, Episode 9 – Maia is questioned by the FBI, Jane Lynch guest stars, and Colin Sweeney returns in this week’s penultimate episode of The-Good-Fight.

Season 1, Episode 2 – In Episode 2 of The Good Fight, it’s Diane and Maia’s first week at Reddick, Boseman, & Kolstad. Maia takes on her first case with Lucca’s support, and Diane hires a new assistant. The Rindell scandal continues to affect our characters’ personal and professional lives. Julius Cain returns!
Season 1, Episode 1 – It’s Diane Lockhart’s turn to take center stage in the pilot episode of The Good Fight. Diane’s god-daughter, Maia Rindell, joins the firm as a brand new associate, but when her father’s Ponzi scheme is revealed, Diane loses everything. Diane is forced to put her retirement plans on hold, and start her life over.
