Oscar Isaac is officially set to star in the political thriller A Foreigner at Paramount. Based on David Grann’s 2011 New York Times article, “A Murder Foretold”, the film will be directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon.

Oscar Isaac has entered talks to lead Paramount’s political thriller A Foreigner, which is being helmed by Me and Earl and the Dying Girl director Alfonso Gomez-Rejon. Chris Terrio scripted the pic, which is based on David Grann’s 2011 New Yorker article A Murder Foretold.
Logline: Story follows the mysterious events behind the death of Rodrigo Rosenberg Marzano, a Guatemalan attorney who, before his murder, recorded a video message saying if he were assassinated, President Alvaro Colom Caballeros of Guatemala would have been directly responsible.
