Adam, an outcast queer teen living on the fringes of Hawaii, is sent from to live with his estranged mother in suburban Las Vegas following his grandfather's death. Thousands of miles away from everything he knows, he's forced to make sense of his offbeat new family and friends and face his mother's bipolar disorder. Adam begins to shape a new gender identity that's in the middle of what he's known his whole life and what he has left to discover.
