First Glance: See “Fantastic Four’s” The Thing In These Promo Photos

A few week’s ago we got our first look at The Thing from Fox’s new Fantastic Four reboot, albeit a leaked photo. Now, through Empire Magazine, 20th Century Fox has let the hulking rock monster out to play. This image offers us our first real look at the Marvel superhero, and he looks good!
Though I typically like to see The Thing more angular and square-browed, this is quite a step up from the diasterous version played by Michael Chiklis. This high-quality image also looks less turnip-faced than the leaked banner. Jamie Bell brings Ben Grimm to life through motion capture this time around, and I’m excited to see The Thing in action.
Ben Grimm transforms into The Thing after he Reed Richards, Sue Storm, and Johnny Storm enter an alternate dimension and are physically affected, gaining incredible abilities. Grimm gets the raw deal and becomes stuck as a giant orange rock monster permanently. But, he also gains an awesome new catchphrase, so it isn’t all bad.
Empire also released two other photos from the film.
