We’re happy to announce that Launch Pad Semi-Finalist Michael Stagliano has been signed at Benderspink by manager Jake Wagner! Stagliano’s pilot Neverland had all the swash-buckling and fun we could have wanted, and it sailed right onto our 2015 Launch Pad pilot Semi-Finalist list.

Benderspink, who have been involved in everything from The Ring to We’re the Millers, have made a name for themselves as not only a formidable production company, but one that represents distinct voices of all kinds. Benderspink has also been closely involved with the Launch Pad competition since day one, with Wagner and fellow manager Daniel Vang serving as judges, as well as partnering with us to offer a Guaranteed Signing option to contestants, wherein at least one writer will be hand-selected by Benderspink for representation.

Stagliano is best known as a fan favorite on ABC’s The Bachelorette and Bachelor Pad 2. After the show, he had a music career that took him all over the country on his “Love Like This” Tour, with his single “Stay Strong” hitting #19 on the iTunes POP charts in its debut week. Most recently, Michael has turned his passion for stories into a career as a screenwriter. Working passionately on shorts, TV and feature length scripts, 2015 has been a banner year for his writing career, as he’s seen several projects optioned, and made his first official sales.

A “modern” twist on the classic tale, Stagliano’s Neverland is a hardcore version of Peter Pan. When Captain James claims Neverland as his own, Tinkerbell must employ the help of modern day cockney misfits to help win it back. With action and adventure around every corner, there are endless possibilities for the adventures and drama that will unfold in this world. Neverland is to J. M. Barrie’s beloved tale what Black Sails is to Treasure Island.

Stagliano marks the 77th writer signed in just the first two years of the Launch Pad Competition!
