Because HBO surprisingly just renewed the series for a second season. A puzzling renewal all across the industry, as the series was never fully embraced by critics, or audience members. I suppose this can be seen as another waving flag fueling the rumors that HBO is desperate to find new comedy tentpoles.

USA has not only renewed their hit spy series “Burn Notice” for a fifth season, but decided to double down and add a sixth season as well. So, fans of the show, look for tow more sexy, action-packed seasons coming your way after the fourth season which begins this June.

While the ratings were not above and beyond for Sunday’s premiere of David Simon’s “TREME” on HBO, they were strong enough, as HBO has renewed the series for a second season. Critics have been very positive on the new series, and urge fans of Simon’s previous work “The Wire” to give it a go.
